After a successful and well-received event at The Truman Brewery back in March/April, WASD returned in September 2023. And they brought friends with them! That’s right – IGN tagged along for a good time. And yours truly was able to snag a Content Creator pass once again to cover it all. Like previous events, WASD x IGN 2023 was set over 3 days (14th-17th of September) at The Truman Brewery on Brick Lane and featured over 60 games on the show floor to play. These included Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Tekken 8, and Ghostrunner 2. More interesting (to me at least) was the host of indie games on offer. The WASD Curios: Indie Game Showcase also made a comeback.
In terms of hardware, Evercade made an appearance with their EXP and VS consoles, both of which I haven’t had a chance to sit down and use before. I was extra excited to get my hands on their Duke Nukem collection. Plenty to do, and plenty to see!
