Every so often, hundreds of demos go live on Steam as part of a week-long celebration. And because Steam Next Fest Feb 2026 has rolled around, that means my BestNerdLife inbox has been pinging with notifications about indie games that are being featured in said event. Sadly, I don’t have the time to preview all the games I’ve been told about. I can do my best to list them all in this article though.
A pretty big list
I can’t vouch for the overall quality of any games on this list, but each and every one of them is a sweet little indie title. They are all free to download and play too, at least between 23rd February and 2nd March. Definitely worth a look!

Phew! That is a lot of games! And these are just a drop in the ocean regarding what is available to download during Steam Next Fest Feb 2026. Was it a bit of a hassle to collate all these games together? Yes! Did I want to write a more indepth article with a little summary for each game but ran out of time? Also yes! Regardless, there’s some pretty interesting games listed above. The indie scene seems to be as strong as ever.
